JCache Won't Be Finished In Time For Java EE 7
Friend of Javalobby, Reza Rahman, had to break the news today that the JCache JSR will not make it into EE 7.  He wanted to let us know that the other JSRs like WebSocket, JMS 2, JAX-RS 2, JSON-P, JavaBatch will make it.

The UK Also Says Programming Languages Are Uncopyrightable
Following the example of the EU, the UK high courts decided today that programming languages are uncopyrightable.  Along with the Google victory in the Android vs. Oracle trial, this is good news for Europe and the US.

Twitter's "Flight" Web Framework Takes Flight
Twitter released another open source project today.  This time, it's a whole web framework, which has garnered more attention then their usual stream of open source releases.  Twitter says they made the framework easy to use and with features like functional mixins and strong separation of concerns.
